Carluke Conversation 2 (CC2) highlighted how important the community of Carluke find their surrounding environment. From this research, an environmental group was formed to take on some of the tasks highlighted from CC2. This is an open group, which you can join at any time, and take on as big or small a role as you want.
Carluke Development Trust is also working with local primary schools, Carluke High School, Carluke Young Farmer and local businesses to better the environment within Carluke. CDT have supported Carluke High School eco-group on local clean up events, and have held clean up events with local businesses and Carluke Community Council. High Mill Primary have been involved in developing the High Mill site, and St Athanasius Primary recently planted a wild flower garden at Jock’s Burn Community Orchard.
